My Business Journey 15 – Reenergise and go forth!

Happy New Year to you all.  I had a great time away in Far North Queensland and to be honest haven’t been thinking about the business side of things to much.

I am nearly there on the technology side, I have some final tweaks in terms of forms and autoresponders and will be recording the webinar this weekend using my cool new headset.  I have finished the powerpoint; it is a monster but i am very happy with the overall content and feel.  When this is all done and the whole platform is tested we will be reasy to go back to market again.

It has been a fair amount of work but look at what we have created:

Specific to this opportunity

1) An 7 step business opportunity checklist landing page and autoresponder sequence

2) A webinar business opportunity landing page and autoresponder sequence

3) A full training platfrom that automates much of this critical aspect

4) A mechanism to use the latest Internet Marketing technolgies through a sourced platform that includes in built affiliate products

More generically

1) A 7 step business opportunity checklist that can be used on any business opportunity and will act as a database builder

2) A generic mlm/network marketing training system with heaps of value that will act as a database builder

Phew, I am tired just writing this…  Now to harness all of this power and get some real movement…..

My Business Journey 14 – Gaining Traction

It has been an exciting few weeks as we start to build traction.

In some respects it is a tricky time as Christmas is not a great time for decision making, so my intent was always to start gathering interest, setting the scene and getting groupd together.

Having said that I enrolled 1 seasoned entrepreneur who is really driving forward quickly.  In fact too quickly as I am struggling to keep up.  As the early people come on board, I am refining the system and always lookign at ways to automate the process, especially around questions, training etc.

I have also made the decision to create my own webinar that will close the loop on the KTSC lead conversion platfrom.  It will also enable me to offer two ways in.  The Fast Track – straight to webinar, and the Slow Build which takes them through the detail of the Business Opportunity Checklist.

Also some great movement on finding some great platforms to leverage off to enable people to attack three markets:

1) Direct product sales – reaching markets interested in the products

2) Direct business opportunity sales – reaching markets interested in the business opportunity

3) Indirect through offering expertise on using game changing technology in the network marketing arena – reaching markets of other network marketers trying to succeed and needing help

This will complete the overall offering and my reasoning behind going so broad is that one of the number one reasons people get concerned is whether THEY can generate leads.

I have a busy few weeks getting all of this finalised, but then should be very well set up for 2010 to ramp up exponentially.

My Business Journey 13 – First calls and first face to face meetings

So, the train has left the station.

There are people in the autoresponder sequence, webinar on Monday.  I have had a number of phone calls and face to face meetings.

All very interesting.  What I have learnt is that alot of people run life on the edge, so energetically can struggle to do anything even if it will change their life positively.  I am really looking for people who are not on the knife edge as it will put too much strain on them and they will not be able to put the required effort in.

The reality is that it is quite a bad time of year to get people on board so I am really sowing the seeds so that when people come back re-enerigse and determined to do something about their life we can get things moving.

My interactions have been pretty positive on the whole.  I have been updating and modifying the system based on the feedback so it should continue to improve.

Also had some great innovation from a contact of mind on some B2B strategies that will generate some good leverage.

My Business Journey 12 – More prospecting and a great value offer

I have now started phase two which is to right customised one on one approaches to selected people in my database. 

 I am looking for a specific type of person to join me.  I am cognisant that many people in my network are probably do not have the right desire to change that I am looking for.  That’s okay; I am only looking for strong players and to be honest timewasters or people who are half hearted are not of interest to me as it will affect the overall energy of my team.
It has been great to reconnect with many people with a real opportunity and the people who are in the zone are coming forward.  Not been too impressed with the UK response, so will contact some of my close contacts to see why; maybe they are more conservative in nature.
I am going to systematically go through the list; much like property investing; it is important not to get too emotionally about it; just keep going and you will find the right people. Don’t get upset if people are not immediately interested as there could be a 1000 reasons why it is not right for them at this instance.  This does not mean that I am going to give up on them; but right now I am going to focus on the people that are in the zone right now. 

 With momentum will come greater conviction and the rest of the people in your network will start taking notice.
So next week I have set up some meetings.  I am quite confident on my own understanding, but I am bringing along my “guru” who is very strong technically in all aspects of the business, has fantastic energy and is also going well financially.
Meanwhile on the internet marketing front, I have refined  my facebook account and also built a generic training course for network marketing / mlm businesses.  This is extremely high value and will really help people out there to improve their chances of success. 

As we speak there are 30 million people working in distributors so a big market.  I am happy to offer this as a free course as it will position me as an expert and also people will be interested in the opportunity I am involved in if they are struggling. 

Because I know mine is extremely strong this could be very helpful for people who have the burning desire but have not chosen the right vehicle.  Of course the challenge remains getting it to the people who will benefit from it!

My Business Journey 11 – Approaching prospects individually

I am now starting my phase 2 following on from my generic broadcast.  It is important to remember that the open rate of any  e-mail broadcast is very low. So you will be losing many opportunities for people that simply have not had the opportunity to consider it for themselves.
My view on this is that people need to make an informed decision for themselves. 

Your role is to make sure that they are a) actually aware of the opportunity and b) understand it ot make sure that they can make an informed decision.

So I have taken my list and then separated it out into priority 1,2,3, and then I am systematically going through this and approaching them individually.
At this point I am writing a customised e-mail referring them to the landing page. I will then look to follow up in due course.
As we sit we have had more than 50 to the landing page and currently 6 who have gone through the first gate and now are in the autoresponder route.
As many of my contacts of the UK, this region has to have a totally different strategy as it is  in pre launch phase.
Whilst these numbers are not massive, remember that at this stage I am looking for around 10-20 people  to be strong leaders in the business.
Also, what has been really good is that some of the people who have gone through the gate do not know me personally at all.  This is a great sign for the system which needs to work for random people so that the whole internet marketing and social media.

So, the journey continues….
